In the scene where Det. Mills is chasing John Doe through the streets they end up in an alley and Doe knocks Mills down with a crowbar. As Somerset runs up, Doe runs off and Mills drops back down to the ground and rolls onto his stomach. As he does so you can see a red colored tube running from the back of his jacket/collar, across the back of his head to his forehead, supplying ‘blood’.

In the scene where Mills hears the phone ring while they are investigating the killer's house, Mills runs down the hallway and slides on his knees to get the phone. Knee pads can be clearly seen on his right knee.

When Somerset slaps John Doe in the desert, he misses Doe’s face by about an inch.

When Jack Vincennes goes to the hotel to stop actor Matt Reynolds from sleeping with the DA, he finds Matt's dead body on the floor with his throat slit. In the close up of Matt's face, you can clearly see the living actor's pulse in the left side of his throat.

Although the plot is set in Chicago, the seal of the City of Chicago is shown frequently, but all of the badges, vehicles, and uniforms show only "Metropolitan Police". In the band scene at the funeral, the Chicago Police Emerald Society logo on the bass drum has been covered.

American Beauty (1999)

In the scene where Carolyn threatens to divorce Lester the bedclothes on the bed are halfway up, then down, then halfway up again.

When Lester is drinking from the blender in the kitchen, the bottles in front of the kitchen window are rearranged in between shots.

As Carolyn and Lester pull up to their driveway while talking about the paper Lester has to write, a reflection of the camera and its operator are visible in the passenger door, below Lester.

When the Quoyle house gets blown away by the storm all second floor windows are open. In the next shot the windows are closed.

When the protagonists come back to have a look at the remains of the house there is still a lot of rubble. When the camera pans back for a view of the entire cliff, the people are visible but there are no traces of the house.

When Constance and Gale are making love, she has zero bruises. However, both before and after the scene, there are many bruises on her, especially on her legs.

When David is talking to his son about when his mom will be home and what he can have for breakfast, the child's hands change position drastically between camera angles.

Toward the end of the movie when Bitsy is racing to get to the prison before the execution, she has car trouble. She tries the key again before giving up, grabbing the video tape and running down the road. This same car trouble and run down the road is shown in the opening scene of the movie, but Bitsy exits the car immediately after it stops. There is no delay to allow for her to try the key again or grab the video tape.

In the sequence with the kryptonite continent, Superman plunges under water, when he comes back up, his hair is soaked, then throughout the next few shots, his hair switches back and forth from, being out of place to being "super" hair.

QuoteThe 'Newfies' themselves joke that they have four seasons: fall, winter, misery and summer. We were pretty much in misery the whole time!"Quote -- Kevin Spacey on location, 'The Shipping News', Cigar Aficionado, February 2003
